OUR FARM
Our Strawberry Orchard is nestled in the idyllic valleys of Nilgiris, close to Ooty. We produce the finest Strawberries in our state of the art farms. Fresona has both Open and Closed [enclosed in Polyhouse] farms to ensure round the year supply of fresh, yummy Strawberries.
It has taken us 5 years of iteration to decode and develop the perfect Strawberry varieties and to master the ideal environment to grow the perfect Strawberries in the Nilgiris. Taste our produce and we're sure you'll agree with us.
PRODUCTS
We produce some of the yummiest strawberries in Ooty and don't add any harmful pesticides or fertilizers. Our Strawberries are grown with a lot of care and extreme attention to detail. Our Preserves are handmade at our farms and we don't add any preservatives either.
Our guiding principle is to produce the tastiest strawberries, that are super healthy for you and your family.

OUR STORY
We are Manufacturing/Electronics Engineers turned Farmers and we have been farming Strawberries since 2016. We were indeed naive, and we did think producing Vegetables and Fruits was akin to Systems and Softwares.
We had our fair share of lessons that nature taught us. Most important one being, no amount of hustle can help you find shortcuts to mastering agriculture. As the saying goes, "You've got to do the time in the farm to figure out the hard stuff".
We had heavy rains wipe out entire harvests, heavy chills and moisture that killed the softness of our Strawberries. We made mistakes with the choice of species that we used, be it June bearing or ever bearing species. Trust us, we have farmed everything from Sweet Charlie, Nabila, Camarosa, Flavia, Winterdawn to Akhime varieties from Japan. We imported Strawberry runners from US, Italy and Japan; we grew our own runners. For those of you wondering, runners are nothing but stems from Strawberry plants that produce the baby plants. We figured many different ways of how not to grow Strawberry in the Nilgiris.
But, we persisted through all of it, and for the past two years, we produce some of the best strawberries in the region. We developed our own crops, built our own nutrient systems, moisture control and watering systems for the plants.
We spent five years to perfect our craft and to get to the current state of producing the freshest, most yummiest strawberries. The fruits have a great flavour and consistency to it, because we let them naturally ripen in the plants.
